NK Bistra is a Croatian football club based in Donja Bistra, village part of Bistra municipality, located just north-west of the Croatian capital Zagreb.
History
NK Bistra was founded as NK Vatrogasac in 1947. Club changed its name to the present one in 1961.
Most of its history NK Bistra spent playing in lower and county leagues, achieving greatest success in 2014 by winning the second place in Croatian Third League which earned them promotion to Croatian Second League.
NK Bistra er et kroatisk fotballag fra Bistra, et distrikt i byen Zagreb. Klubben ble grunnlagt i 1922 og spiller sine hjemmekamper på Stadion Bistra.
Bistra har hovedsakelig spilt i lavere divisjoner i det kroatiske fotballigasystemet. De har imidlertid hatt noe suksess i cupen, og nådde kvartfinalen i den kroatiske cupen i 2014-15 sesongen.
Klubbens mest kjente spillere er Ivan Turina, som spilte for Kroatias landslag ved VM i 2002, og Alen Pjevac, som spilte for en rekke klubber i Europa, inkludert Manchester City og Everton.
Bistras nåværende manager er Tomislav Rukavina, en tidligere kroatisk landslagsspiller som spilte for klubber som Rangers og Real Betis.
