Wikipedia - Cymru South

The Cymru South is a regional football league in Wales, covering the southern half of the country. It has clubs with semi-professional status and together with the Cymru North, it forms the second tier of the Welsh football league system.

The first year of its operation was in 2019–20 with the Football Association of Wales owning and administering the tier 2 leagues for the first time. These changes followed on from a review of the Welsh Football Pyramid. Prior to 2019, the equivalent league was the Welsh Football League Division One, covering South Wales.

Wales - Mesterskapet - Sør er en fotballturnering for lag i det sørlige Wales. Ligaen består av 16 lag som spiller en dobbel serie mot hverandre. Topplaget rykker opp til Wales Premier League, mens bunnlaget rykker ned til Wales League Division One.

Turneringen ble etablert i 1992 og har siden blitt vunnet av en rekke lag, inkludert Cardiff City, Swansea City og Newport County. Lørdagsgangen er den nåværende mester, etter å ha vunnet tittelen i 2021-22 sesongen.

Wales - Mesterskapet - Sør er en av de mest konkurransedyktige ligaene i Wales, og den gir en plattform for unge spillere å utvikle seg og for klubber å kjempe om opprykk til toppdivisjonen.
