Taichung Suns

The Taichung Suns (Chinese: 臺中太陽) were a Taiwanese professional basketball team based in Taichung City. They have competed in the T1 League since the 2021–22 season, and played their home games at the National Taiwan University of Sport Gymnasium. The Suns became one of the six teams of the inaugural T1 League season.

On November 25, 2021, the Taichung Suns changed the name to the Taichung Wagor Suns. In October 2022, the Taichung Wagor Suns changed the name to the Taichung Suns.

On September 15, 2023, the T1 League announced that the 2023–24 season participation rights of the Taichung Suns was cancelled due to financial qualification. On October 16, the Taichung Suns announced to fold officially.

Taichung Suns er et profesjonelt basketballlag basert i Taichung, Taiwan. Laget konkurrerer i Taiwans Super Basketball League (SBL). Suns ble grunnlagt i 2020 og eies av den taiwanske forretningsmannen Ma Guang-yu. Lagets hjemmebane er Taichung Arena. Siden etableringen har Suns sakte bygget opp en sterk følge og har blitt et av de mest populære lagene i SBL. Lagets suksess kan tilskrives god ledelse, solid organisering og utmerkede treningsfasiliteter. Suns har også klart å rekruttere noen av de beste basketballspillerne i Taiwan, inkludert den tidligere NBA-spilleren Chen Shun-li. Med sin voksende popularitet og talentfulle spillere, er Taichung Suns godt posisjonert for å bli et topplag i SBL i årene som kommer.
