Sulaymani Peshmarga Sport Club (Kurdish: یانهی وهرزشی پێشمهرگهی سلێمانی) is a sports club based in Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan. They currently play in the Iraqi Premier Division League, and also field a team in the Kurdistan Premier League. The club was founded in 1999.
History
Division One champions
Peshmarga team played in the Iraq Division One season 2009–10, and managed to top its group and be promoted to play in the Premier League. The top team in each group played in the final match to determine the league champion, where Peshmarga and Al-Jaish met at Al-Karkh Stadium in Baghdad, and Peshmarga was able to defeat Al-Jaish with a score (3–0) and win the championship.

Peshmarga team played in the Premier League for the first time in the 2010–11 season, and played in the Northern Group, and the team was not good enough, and despite the change of coach, the team continued to lose its matches, and eventually relegated to the Iraq Division One.
Peshmerga Sulaymaniya har vunnet den irakiske ligaen tre ganger, i 1986, 1990 og 1992. Klubben har også vunnet den irakiske cupen to ganger, i 1987 og 1988.
Klubben ble oppkalt etter Peshmerga, de kurdiske væpnede styrkene som kjempet mot Saddam Husseins regime. Peshmerga Sulaymaniya var en av de første irakiske fotballklubbene som ble grunnlagt etter Husseins fall i 2003.
Klubben har en sterk tilhengerskare i Sulaymaniyah og Kurdistan-regionen. Peshmerga Sulaymaniya er kjent for sin offensive spillestil og har produsert flere landslagsspillere for Irak.
